The state office can only help by providing you the information as to where the record can be requested from. A $15 processing fee has to be paid in order to proceed with the search. Only records from July 1948 are available for request in Missouri.

In order to get access to the divorce records of the state, one has to submit the request form that contains the details about the document being requested. Also the form should have the personal details of the one who filed the request. Although the document is a public file, not everyone has the freedom to access the file. Only the divorcees are allowed to request for a copy of their divorce papers unless an authorization letter is presented.

The Internet has allowed the residents of Missouri to request for online divorce records. Requesting it through the Internet can help lessen the time spent in getting a copy of a divorce certificate. One can even avoid the hassle of requesting it personally at the office. One also has the option to get it for free. The database of many websites that offer such service is linked to the state's official website in order to help provide accurate information that n be used readily.
