Discovering How Your Subconscious Mind Rules Your Behavior

By Barbara Hall

One of the best self-help authors of the twenty first century has just released a new book about the unconscious. Like with other previous publications, the new work is an examination and eye opening account as to how the unconscious mind shapes everyday life and experiences at large. The work Subliminal: How Your Subconscious Mind Rules Your Behavior is now available at local bookstores and online with a number of reviews which can be found on the Amazon and Good Reads websites.

With over twenty years of research in the neurological field, it has become clear that the unconscious mind is a powerful tool when it comes to getting what one wants out of life. For, social judgment, memory, behavior and perception are subliminal actions which shape reality in the moment. In this new book, the author employs explanations for some of the most obscure and scientific subjects in order to unravel the complexities of the unconscious mind.

The author clearly shows how various experiences effect understanding of different situations and the ability people have to misunderstand certain aspects and forget important events when it comes to everyday life based on actions of the subconscious. While this is the case, individuals whom can stay alert, aware and work on memorization can often still prosper and grow over time.

While reviews are mostly positive, there are others which are mixed. Different reviewers often suggest that the book is a repeat of information which has already been published in the past. Whereas, others suggest the book is so moving it can be hard to put down. In either case, the fact that individuals are reading the book is a good sign that the book will at least be helpful to some readers.

Another reviewer also suggest that a lot of information in the book can be found in others such as "Blink, " and "Strangers To Ourselves." Whereas, at the same the new information on blindsight was informative, interesting and intriguing. In this case, the reader also discusses Mlodinow coverage of cognitive biases and how no one is objective according to recent experience and evidence on the subject.

A more specific review shed a great deal of light on the intent of the author to outline the weakness of the human mind. For, most people would not expect that the unconscious could overpower the conscious mind. Yet, depending on a number of circumstances and influences, it is often possible to do so.

Basically, the new release appears to be an updated version of past self-help books. While this is the case, the author does seem to take a more scientific approach rather than the usual role of educator. For, the book does appear to go far deeper into the mechanics associated with the conscious and unconscious mind.

Ultimately, it is up to each reader to recognize the benefits and drawbacks of the practices and theories addressed in the book. In most cases, reviewers have found as much new information as that which has been covered in other publications. As such, if interested in the mind, conscious or unconscious and how thoughts and actions can effect everything from overall well being to happy healthy relationships, it is most likely a book worth reading.
