A canvas is one durable type of woven fabric which is being used for the production of backpacks, marquees, tents, sails, and some items where in a sturdy quality is required. It is very popular for use by most of the artists as painting surfaces. Typically, this is being stretched across a frame made from wood. Fifth is creating under painting. The under painting is usually used in an opaque painting. The method involves the creation of outlines that will add depth into a finished piece.

Sixth is adjusting colors properly. Oil paints which are dried already are having the same tint just like when it is still applied. To make the tint appear slightly darker, use the acrylic paints. See to it that color mixes are adjusted based on preference. This is to avoid having a dark finished material. Conducting a test for the result is done through applying an amount on a paper.

Seventh is experimenting with a medium. The medium can be added to acrylic or oil paints for achieving cool effects. A lot of variations are available that range from matte finish or from high gloss type of oil media to acrylic media. The variations would add texture, body, or gloss to finished materials.

Eighth, put the canvas in a safe place for drying. Make sure that your workspace is safe for drying. Doing it on a surface which is non stick is recommended to avoid sticking and messing up.
