Getting married is often the best day of your life. However, once the honeymoon period is over, you will find that reality begins to hit you. There are practical things to take into consideration. It can be one person who is struggling with something like depression, anxiety or an addiction. It is not easy to cope with this when you don't know how to support your loved one. Another practical method is to express oneself in the form of role play. It is common for a couple to find that they are not communicating. They may also find that they have different styles of communication. This will ultimately lead to a breakdown in communication.

Children of divorce can really suffer. They may find that this can lead to dysfunctional relationships, addictions, stress, depression and anxiety. This is why it is imperative that kids get as much attention as the married couple. A couple can also drift apart because of kids and teens that are having problems.

Sometimes partners are so wrapped up in their own problems that they forget the kids. However, this is very relevant. Kids notice everything. They pick up on the stress and the atmosphere which can tell you so much. When things become worse, children also have to be treated.

Therapy becomes more practical where parents are able to see the reason for the problem in their relationship. They will work in practical ways which will help them spend more time together. They will incorporate this into their routine. It can include a date night or going on a walk together. They may join a club together, enjoying some of the things that they once liked to do together as a couple.
